About this course
Divemaster is where diving stops being a holiday activity and starts being something you could do for a living. It is the first professional rating PADI issues, and it is the one that qualifies you to guide certified divers.
The course is not a fixed timetable. You work alongside the instructors, on real courses with real students, and you learn the parts of the job that no manual covers — how a boat day is actually run, how to spot the diver who is going to need help before they know it themselves, how to brief a site so people listen.
Two weeks is possible if you are here to work at it. Six is more usual for people fitting it around the rest of a trip. You need 40 logged dives, a Rescue certification and current first aid training before you start.

- 40 logged dives
- PADI Rescue Diver certification
- Current first aid training
- Medical questionnaire before diving
